1. Soft Packing Seal

Soft Packing Type: Packing


The Packing Is Usually Woven Softer Threads Filled Into The Sealing Cavity Through Strips With A Square Cross-Section. The Gland Generates A Clamping Force To Compress The Packing, Forcing The Packing To Be Pressed Against The Sealing Surface (The Outer Surface Of The Shaft The Sealing Cavity), Generating A Radial Force That Creates A Sealing Effect, Thereby Playing A Sealing Role.

The Material Selected For Packing Determines The Sealing Effect Of The Packing. Generally Speaking, The Material Of Packing Is Subject To The Temperature, Pressure PH Of The Working Medium. The Surface Roughness, Eccentricity Linear Speed Of The Mechanical Equipment The Packing Works Will Also Have Requirements On The Material Selection Of The Packing. Graphite Packing Can Withstand High Temperature High Pressure, Is One Of The Most Effective Products To Solve The Problem Of High Temperature High Pressure Sealing. It Is Corrosion-Resistant, Has Excellent Sealing Performance, Works Stably Reliably. Aramid Packing Is A High-Strength Organic Fiber. The Woven Packing Is Then Impregnated With Polytetrafluoroethylene Emulsion Lubricant. Polytetrafluoroethylene Packing Is Made Of Pure Polytetrafluoroethylene Dispersion Resin. It Is First Made Into A Raw Film, Then Twisted Woven Into Packing. 2. Machining Seal


Mechanical Seals Are Always Composed Of Two Major Parts: The Rotating Part (Yellow Part) The Stationary Part (Orange Part). The Two Relatively Moving Dynamic Static Ring Surfaces Become The Main Sealing Surfaces Of The Seal.

3. Dry Gas Seal


Dry Gas Seal, Also Known As "Dry Running Gas Seal", Is A New Type Of Shaft End Seal That Uses Slotted Sealing Technology For Gas Sealing Is A Non-Contact Seal.

Good Sealing Performance, Long Life, No Need For Sealing Oil System, Low Power Consumption, Simple Operation Low Operation Maintenance Costs. Applications:

High-Speed Fluid Machinery Such As Centrifugal Compressors Are Suitable For Working Conditions A Small Amount Of Process Gas Leaks Into The Atmosphere Without Causing Any Harm, Such As Air Compressors, Nitrogen Compressors, Etc.


4. Labyrinth Seal


The Labyrinth Seal Is A Series Of Annular Sealing Teeth Arranged In Sequence Around The Rotating Shaft. A Series Of Intercepting Gaps Expansion Cavities Are Formed Between The Teeth. When The Sealed Medium Passes Through The Gaps In The Tortuous Labyrinth, A Throttling Effect Is Produced To Achieve The Purpose Of Leakage Prevention.


Labyrinth Seals Are The Most Basic Sealing Form Between Stages Shaft Ends Of Centrifugal Compressors. According To Different Structural Characteristics, They Can Be Divided Into Four Types: Smooth, Zigzag, Stepped Honeycomb. 


1. Smooth Labyrinth Seal 

Smooth Labyrinth Seals Have Two Structures: Integral Insert. They Have A Simple Structure Are Easy To Manufacture, But Have Poor Sealing Effects. 


2. Zigzag Labyrinth Seal 

The Zigzag Labyrinth Seal Is Also Divided Into Two Structures: Integral Insert. The Structural Characteristics Of This Labyrinth Seal Are That The Protruding Height Of The Sealing Teeth Is Different, The High Low Teeth Are Arranged Alternately. The Matching Shaft Surface Is A Special Concave-Convex Groove. This Structure Of High Low Teeth Concave-Convex Grooves Makes The Smooth Sealing Gap Become Zigzag, Thereby Increasing The Flow Resistance Improving The Sealing Efficiency. However, It Can Only Be Used In Cylinders Partitions With Horizontal Split Surfaces, The Seal Body Must Also Be Made Into A Horizontal Split Type. 


3. Stepped Labyrinth Seal 

The Stepped Labyrinth Seal Is Similar To The Smooth Labyrinth Seal In Structure, But Its Sealing Effect Is Similar To That Of The Zigzag Labyrinth Seal. It Is Often Used In Impeller Covers Balance Discs. 


4. Honeycomb Labyrinth Seal 

The Sealing Teeth Of The Honeycomb Labyrinth Seal Are Welded Into A Honeycomb Shape To Form An Expansion Chamber Of A Complex Shape. Its Sealing Performance Is Better Than That Of General Sealing Forms Is Suitable For Occasions With Large Pressure Differences, Such As The Balance Plate Seal Of A Centrifugal Compressor. The Manufacturing Process Of The Honeycomb Labyrinth Seal Is Complex, The Sealing Piece Has High Strength, The Sealing Effect Is Good. 


5. Oil Seal


Oil Seal Is A Self-Tightening Lip Seal With Simple Structure, Small Size, Low Cost, Easy Maintenance, Small Resistance Torque, Which Can Prevent Medium Leakage, External Dust Other Harmful Substances Intruding, Has A Certain Compensation Ability For Wear. However, It Is Resistant To High Pressure, So It Is Generally Used In Chemical Pumps In Low Pressure Occasions.


6. Dynamic Seal


When The Chemical Pump Is Running, The Pressure Head Generated By The Auxiliary Impeller Balances The High-Pressure Liquid At The Outlet Of The Main Impeller, Thereby Achieving Sealing. When The Pump Is Stopped, The Auxiliary Impeller Does Work, So A Parking Sealing Device Must Be Equipped To Solve The Possible Leakage Of The Chemical Pump When It Is Stopped. The Auxiliary Impeller Seal Has A Simple Structure, Reliable Sealing, A Long Service Life. The Chemical Pump Can Be Leak-Proof During Operation, So It Is Often Used In Chemical Pumps That Transport Media Containing Impurities.


7. Spiral Seal


Spiral Seal Is Also A Form Of Dynamic Seal. It Is A Spiral Groove Machined On The Rotating Shaft On The Shaft's Containing Sleeve, The Shaft Sleeve Are Filled With Sealing Medium. The Rotation Of The Shaft Makes The Spiral Groove Produce A Conveying Effect Similar To That Of A Pump, Thereby Preventing The Leakage Of The Sealing Liquid. The Size Of Its Sealing Ability Is Related To The Spiral Angle, Pitch, Tooth Width, Tooth Height, Effective Length Of The Teeth The Size Of The Gap Between The Shaft The Sleeve. Since There Is No Friction Between The Seals, The Service Life Is Long, But Due To The Limitation Of The Structural Space, The Spiral Length Is Generally Short, So Its Sealing Ability Is Also Limited. When The Pump Is Used At A Reduced Speed, Its Sealing Effect Will Be Greatly Reduced.
